This policy explains what personal information A&A Sales and Design (trading publicly as A&A Design, "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to information you share when you make an enquiry through this website, by phone or by email.

We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through this website.

Information we collect

Information from enquiries. When you make an enquiry, we collect the details you give us — your name, email address, phone number, project location, project type, preferred timeframe and any information you include in your message.

Website and server usage information. When you visit the website, our hosting and platform providers may log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, the time of your visit and similar details. This is used to operate and secure the website and is not used to identify you personally.

Why we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and answer your questions;
• discuss your project and prepare a quotation;
• take steps at your request before entering into a contract for services; and
• deliver the design, manufacture and installation work we agree to provide.

We do not use your information for marketing and do not add you to any marketing list. The acknowledgement you give on the enquiry form confirms you have read this policy and understand how we will use your details to respond to your enquiry.

Lawful bases

We rely on the following lawful bases under the GDPR: (a) taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, when we respond to an enquiry and prepare a quotation; (b) performance of a contract, when we deliver agreed work; and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and our business, such as recording server usage information and keeping records.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to respond to your enquiry and deliver agreed work, and with the service providers that help us operate the website and enquiry system:

• Base44 — provides the website hosting, application platform and database services this site runs on;
• Resend — provides the transactional email service used to deliver enquiry notifications; and
• our business email provider, which handles our incoming and outgoing email.

Each provider acts as a processor on our behalf and only uses your information as needed to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.

International transfers

Some of these service providers may process information outside Ireland. Where this happens, transfers are made under the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, so your information remains protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry information for as long as is needed to respond to your enquiry and deliver any agreed work. After that, we retain it only as long as is necessary for record-keeping, accounting and legal obligations, and then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to request that it be transferred to another party. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing us at info@aadesign.ie.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's independent data protection authority, at dataprotection.ie.
